Description
Applications are open for the METI Japan Internship Program 2024 in Japan. This fully funded internship is available for all international students from eligible countries. The program, organized by the Ministry of Economy, Trade, and Industry (METI) of Japan, aims to support Japanese SMEs by recruiting foreign students and professionals to address the shortage of human resources and financial resources in Japan.
Types of Internships
- In-person Internships:
- Conducted at small to medium-sized companies in Japan.
- Duration: Approximately 30 workdays (6 weeks).
- Online Internships:
- Conducted remotely.
- Duration: Approximately 80 hours (4 weeks).

Eligibility Criteria
- Nationals of eligible developing countries.

- Proficiency in English or Japanese.
- Must be 18-40 years old by August 31, 2024.
- Submit a letter of recommendation from a company or university, and an enrolment or graduation certificate.
- Must not have participated in the METI internship from FY2016-2023.
- Must be able to attend the internship according to the fixed timetable.
