Scholarship Coverage
The QuestBridge scholarship covers the full cost of enrollment at each college, without requiring any family contributions or student loans. This includes:
- Tuition
- Room and board
- Travel expenses
- Books and supplies
Note: The scholarship may require a work-study or student savings commitment from the student.
Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for QuestBridge scholarships, applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Required Language(s): English
- Eligible Countries: United States (U.S. citizens, permanent residents, or high school students attending U.S. high schools regardless of citizenship)
- Academic Excellence: Mostly A’s in the most difficult classes offered (often Honours, AP, or IB level courses)
- Standardized Test Scores:
- SAT or PSAT scores over 1310
- ACT composite scores above 28
- Class Rank: In the top 5-10% of the graduating class
- Additional Requirements: Essays and recommendation letters demonstrating a good writing style, intellectual curiosity, and tenacity
How to Apply
Follow these steps to apply for the QuestBridge Scholarships:
- Complete the Online Application:
- The National College Match application includes two essays and short answer questions.
- Submit Recommendation Letters:
- Two recommendation letters from instructors of foundational courses.
- Provide High School Counselor’s Report:
- Your high school counselor’s secondary school report.
- Include a School Profile (Optional):
- A school profile is suggested but not required.
- Submit High School Transcript:
- A transcript from high school.
- Standardized Test Results:
- SAT and/or ACT results are strongly advised.
Application Timeline
- Application Deadline: September 26, 2024
- College Partner Ranking: Candidates will rank up to 12 college partners for consideration in October.
- Finalist Notification: Applicants will find out in late October whether they are chosen as finalists.
- Submission of Additional Documents: Finalists will send in further documents for the particular universities they ranked.
- Scholarship Award Notification: Those who have matched with a college will be notified in December and awarded a full four-year scholarship.
Additional Information
- Reapplying: Applicants who were not chosen as finalists in October or who were not matched with a college can apply again and to other colleges as part of QuestBridge Regular Decision, free of charge.
