Main Purpose of the Job
A small Financial Management Consulting firm is in urgent need of an experienced Accountant proficient in Accounting and Bookkeeping. Competency in Bookkeeping, preparation of Management accounts, and Audited financial statements independently is mandatory.
Key Responsibilities
Accounting and Bookkeeping
- Perform Accounting, Bookkeeping, and Auditing functions independently without supervision.
- Recent experience in an Auditing firm is required.
- Prepare cash flow statements.
- Prepare Income and Expenditure accounts.
- Prepare Statements of Affairs and Management accounts.
- Prepare Financial statements from incomplete records.
- Utilize various Accounting packages.
- Possess a thorough knowledge of finance and accounting principles, procedures, and practices.
- Knowledge of IFRS accounting standards.
Auditing
- Perform audits of Micro and SME companies independently.
- Perform audits of large corporate organizations independently.
- Knowledge of auditing across various business sectors.
- Conduct credit and financial statement analysis and appraisal.
- Provide strategic financial analysis and leadership on decision-making issues affecting the company.

- Ability to grow the business.
- Build strong relationships with existing customers and enhance business profitability.
- Pitch for new business opportunities, relationships, contracts, and retainership businesses.
Work Experience
- Minimum of 2 years of recent proven work experience in an Accounting and Auditing firm.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Accounting packages (QuickBooks and Sage).
Education and Qualifications Requirements
- HND/BSc/BA in Accounting.
- Student or membership of ACCA/ICAN is a plus.
